I am trying to paint a green door poinsettia, what are the steps in doing so?
You should buy a can of primer, it is white. Then it is will be much easier to cover it with the red paint and it will be red, not purple.
Reply:Use a primer coat first to give the red paint a good base. This will make the paint go on easier and it keeps it from blending in with the paint already on the door.
I was watching Curb Appeal on HGTV last weekend. They recommended that you should paint a front door with a small roller instead of a brush. The brush will leave stroke marks. The small roller will be able to get in any nooks and crannies and the paint will go on smoother.
