A poinsettia needs to undergo a dormant period before it will grow red bracts again (the actual flowers are the little yellow things in the middle, not the red "petals"). Since it's just finished blooming, cut it back to about six inches. Let it grow for a while, with a good balanced fertilizer, keeping the soil moist but not wet, and giving it plenty of sun. After it's gotten plenty of leaves, you can start to "force" it for the next blooming cycle; it takes about 12 weeks of long nights (nights of at least 14 hours, COMPLETELY uninterrupted by ANY light) to bloom and produce red bracts again. A black trash bag works well for creating the long nights; just be SURE to uncover it each day after its requisite period of darkness, so that it get fresh air, too.

Good luck!
