What's the best way to care for Poinsettias?

It will keep the color bracts long after Christmas if you do a few things. Keep it out of a draft, put it in a bright room but not in direct sunlight, don't overwater (water when the top inch of soil is dry) and fertilize once a month with a liquid fert like Shultz or MiracleGrow. In the summer you can plant it outside.

this is what my aunt used to do. water as needed but don't flood, the soil should be moist at all times. keep it out of sunlight. after the holidays it may loose signs of life but she would keep it in a dark closet or basement ( somewhere cool, dry and dark) by next oct. or nov. your plant will begin to bud. be careful if you have pets they are poisonous to all animals, even just one leaf can make them ill. good luck!
Reply:water every 3 days, don't let sit in water.or dry out completely, you can see when it begins to droop or curial,it needs water, but if you can catch it before it it droops it will last longer %26amp; not loose as many leaves.happy holidays.
Reply:Dunno
Reply:I believe its a 1/4 cup of water per day

And if you plant them at your house after the holidays, make sure they are more than 10 feet away from the house as they attract termites
