Yes when ever the soil feels dry, but try not to over water it as this will kill the plant. The rule of thumb is about once a week. If you have electric heat about every 5 days
How often do you need to water Poinsettias?
they need to remain moist, so your finger is the best test for the soil. I water mine thoroughly every 3 days, or when the soil appears to be drying.
Reply:whenever the soil feels dry.
Reply:the golden rule for watering poinsettias is so water when necessary --- not at set times --- and not for the sake of it .good luck .
Reply:Poinsettias don't like wet feet. Remember, they are from Mexico and the Caribbean, so they like humidity and warm temperatures. You should water ONLY when the soil feels dry or when the plant to drooping. Remember, some drooping can be rot because you over-watered. More plants are killed by too much water than too little water. Less is best!
